Three years ago country trio Lady Antebellum crashed into the pop mainstream with the multi-format Grammy winning smash hit "Need You Now." It went clear to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 while topping both adult pop and adult contemporary radio. They returned to the pop mainstream with "Just a Kiss," the first single from the group's last non-holiday studio album Own the Night. It landed inside the top 10 on the Hot 100 and once again topped the adult contemporary chart. Now Lady Antebellum have delivered "Downtown," the first single from their upcoming next studio album, to radio, and it looks set to deliver pop crossover success all over again. The new song is an unexpectedly funky and upbeat track for the trio. They say it was chosen with live performances in mind. "Downtown" would be an outstanding track to perk up a live audience. The song will be available for purchase on iTunes beginning January 28, 2013. Lady Antebellum are scheduled to perform "Downtown" that night on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
