Adele 2013 Academy Awards

Mainstream pop has made it back to the winners platform at the Academy Awards. Adele's "Skyfall" is the first top 10 pop hit single to receive the Oscar since Eminem's "Lose Yourself" a decade ago. Adele performed the song live earlier in the evening. The evening has featured more stellar live music performances from Shirley Bassey singing "Goldfinger" in a James Bond tribute, the Les Miserables cast, and Barbra Streisand singing "The Way We Were" in a memorial tribute to Marvin Hamlishch. While she has not dominated awards this year in the way she did at this time last year, Adele has picked up an honor at the Grammy Awards, Brit Awards, and now the Academy Awards. Check out the best of Academy Award winning Best Songs below.
