20 years ago a group of five young men came together in central Florida and were dubbed the Backstreet Boys. It took some time for their career to take off but following recording sessions with Max Martin in Sweden the group soared and became one of the world's biggest boy bands. Today the Backstreet Boys celebrated their 20th anniversary by officially receiving a star on Hollywood's Walk Of Fame. Over the weekend as part of the celebration the band released a mash-up of new songs from their upcoming seventh studio album in the US.
Backstreet Boys' first six studio albums in the US have all reached the top 10 on the album chart. The group's 1999 album Millenium shipped a phenomenal 11 million copies in the US in its first year of release. Backstreet Boys have six top 10 pop hits and 12 songs that have reached the top 40.
