To kick off season 5 the show Glee will take on one of their biggest challenges yet. A two part season debut will feature songs from the legendary Beatles catalog. The shows will also feature guest star Demi Lovato. Music from the Beatles episodes will be released on September 24, 2013 and the season debut will be broadcast two days later on September 26, 2013. The Glee cast has sold an estimated 50 million songs and 13 million albums. They have placed 50 songs in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. However, the show's chart prowess has faded recently. During season 4, no songs reached the top 40 and only four songs edged on to the Billboard Hot 100. The last song from Glee to reach the top 40 was a version of "Somebody That I Used To Know" which climbed to #26 in April 2012. Among the Beatles songs expected to be covered are "All You Need Is Love" and "Got To Get You Into My Life." The two Beatles episodes will be followed by the episode paying tribute to Cory Monteith who played Finn Hudson on the show and passed away earlier this year.
