Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton

This music video might cause you to shed a happy tear or two. It begins and ends with country and pop music legends Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton discussing their friendship. The new song "You Can't Make Old Friends" was recorded by the pair on the 30th anniversary of their #1 smash hit duet "Islands In the Stream." That collaboration hit #1 on the pop, country, and adult contemporary charts as well as being a major hit in many other countries around the world. The song, written by the Bee Gees, has become a favorite of fans of both artists. It was the second #1 pop hit for both Kenny Rogers (following "Lady") and Dolly Parton (following "9 to 5").   This time around Kenny Rogers says they don't care if their work together is a hit.  "You Can't Make Old Friends" is the title song from Kenny Roger's new studio album due out October 8, 2013. It is his first mainstream country album since 2006's Water & Bridges. Kenny Rogers has reached the top 10 on the pop singles chart nine times and Dolly Parton has two top 10 pop hits to her credit. Check out the legendary pair in their new music video below.
