Following the emotional tribute to late cast member Cory Monteith, Glee is taking a three week break but will then return in more celebratory fashion. On November 7, 2013 the episode "A Katy Or a Gaga" will feature Adam Lambert as a guest star. A just released promo clip shows the singer performing Lady Gaga's "Marry the Night" in flamboyant fashion. The episode is depicted as the "Katy Perrys" vs. the Lady Gagas and will land right in the midst of release of new albums by the artists.

Adam Lambert recently appeared at the iHeartRadio festival performing with legendary rock band Queen. Last year his second solo album Trespassing debuted at #1 on the album chart. The album included the top 20 adult pop hit single "Better Than I Know Myself."

Thanks for this piece of Adam being on GLEE, Bill. Just one clarification: Adam isn’t so much a guest star as a new member of the cast. However, it will moreso likely be in the same pattern as Kate Hudson was — appearing in several episodes throughout the season, but not all. Or I guess you can call that type of cast member “recurring guest star”..? :)

Hoping Glee will propel him to an even wider audience – his superb voice and brilliant performances are not as widely celebrated as they should be. His album “Trespassing” (four stars/Rolling Stone – and many other reviews) was ignored on radio in favor of far lesser talents. Really makes one wonder how these “hits” are chosen.

Broddybounce: And you know this how? It very likely might be just one episode. Glee execs. have not confirmed other episodes yet. Adam hasn’t mentioned more. I certainly hope he is on multiple episodes – but we do not no that for a fact yet.

Actually, the impression given has ALWAYS been that he would be on several episodes. Right from the start they have talked about Adam being part of a story involving Kurt and being a guest member of the cast for this season. There is absolutely NOTHING suggesting it would only be for one episode and I really don’t understand why people keep saying it is. So unless someone absolutely confirms it’s only one ep I see no reason for anyone to assume otherwise. We do not know for a fact either way but all indications have been it’s several episodes.

Thanks for the article. However Adam Lambert is NOT a guest star on Glee as Ryan Murphy the director, creator, producer has said Adam is joining the Glee cast. He will definitely be on most of the episodes starting Nov 7th.

What a fun episode! Love Adam Lambert’s own music, as well as his covers and collaborations, i.e. with Queen, Avicii and Nile Rodgers. He is such an exciting performer!

He is a major talent the likes of Christina Aguilera,Barbra Streisand, Chris Colfer and Lea Michele. His voice is its own instrument. Can’t wait to see him on Glee.

The problem is once Adam performs, all of the others seem like amateurs. The wording of Murphy’s tweet is the issue, and it can be interpreted as one episode or many. But, how would the show explain how such a great performer does not become the lead singer of the band from then on.

Kate Hudson did a multi-episode story arc (6 epi) yet was considered a Guest Star – just as Adam Lambert is. Hope he is on as long as Kate was…he will be awesome.

EXCITED FOR ADAM TO APPEAR ON GLEE….NOW IT’S UP TO US TO GIVE THE SHOW THE NUMBERS IT NEEDS TO WARRANT HIS RETURN. WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE RADIO/MUSIC INDUSTRY WHICH IGNORES ADAM’S TALENT. SPREAD THE WORD…NUMBER OF VIEWERS COUNT.
