It was all a little bit anti-climactic, but 36 year old prison officer Sam Bailey has been named this year's winner of X Factor UK. According to bookmakers she was the, "most backed contestant in the history of the show." Sam Bailey is the first winner from the "over 25's" group of contestants since the first year of the show in 2004. In addition to winning a recording contract, she will also be an opening act when Beyonce's Mrs. Carter tour hits the UK in February 2014. Sam Bailey's coronation single is a cover of Demi Lovato's emotional hit single "Skyscraper.". The original version of the song reached #7 on the UK pop singles chart.
