Legendary pop singer Olivia Newton-John has announced that she will take the stage in Las Vegas beginning April 8, 2014. She has signed on for 45 dates at the Flamingo that will continue through the summer. The 65 year old singer is expected to perform songs from Grease among her large repertoire of hit music.
Olivia Newton-John first hit the pop singles chart in the US in 1971 with a cover version of Bob Dylan's "If Not For You." She failed to find a follow up hit until the 1973 country and pop smash "Let Me Be There." That set off a series of five consecutive hits that reached the top 10 on both the pop and country charts. Later in the decade beginning with the #3 pop smash "A Little More Love," Olivia Newton-John remade herself as a mainstream pop diva. She also became a queen of pop soundtracks with a series of top 10 smash hits from both Grease and Xanadu. Olivia Newton-John has released a total of 15 top 10 pop hit singles. She has won four Grammy Awards and has been credited with sales of over 100 million records worldwide.
