Jamie Archer Exits X Factor Leaving Lloyd Daniels in the Final 6
Another week of X Factor and another shocking elimination. However, I do think a strong argument can be made that Jamie Archer at least did deserve to be in the bottom two this week. Once again Lloyd Daniels landed in the bottom pair and once again audience vote consulted following a deadlock of judges saved him for another week. "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" was arguably Lloyd's best performance yet, but when Simon Cowell says he is like a puppy competing in the grand nationals it's difficult to not nod in agreement.
Jamie Archer began this season's X Factor as a favorite to win it all based on a stunning audition, and he was consistent throughout boot camp. However, in the weeks of live performances it has been difficult much of the time to see evolution or versatility from Jamie Archer. That is excepting a moving performance of Christina Aguilera's "Hurt." X Factor moves on next week with six remaining contenders - Lloyd Daniels, John and Edward, Danyl Johnson, Joe McElderry, Olly Murs, and Stacey Solomon. Look for live performances from Susan Boyle and Mariah Carey.

Butch Walker Covers "You Belong With Me" In a Version Taylor Swift Loves
Butch Walker may still be unfamiliar to most pop music fans. However, he is an in demand producer who has worked with a wide range of today's top artists from All-American Rejects and Avril Lavigne to Pink. He is also a successful recording artist in his own right. A short time ago Butch Walker put together his own version of Taylor Swift's huge hit single "You Belong With Me." To my ears the folksy almost honky-tonk sound is a bit more country than Taylor Swift's original. When she found out about the cover, Taylor Swift gushed on Twitter, "I'm losing my MIND listening to it! Blown away." Check out Butch Walker's cover version of "You Belong With Me."
