Meghan Trainor co-wrote "I Like the Sound of That" with veteran country songwriter Jesse Frasure and Shay Mooney of country duo Dan and Shay. The song was included on the album Rewind by country trio Rascal Flatts. "I Like the Sound of That" earned praise for reminding listeners of the days of Rascal Flatts' biggest hits.
