The American Music Awards ceremonies took place on Sunday, November 20, 2011. They were broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Television. Red carpet coverage began streaming online at ABC.com beginning at 5 p.m. ET.
