Los Lonely Boys - A Family Tradition:

The 3 brothers Henry, JoJo, and Ringo Garza, Jr. follow in a tradition of performing music set by their father Ringo Garza, Sr. He was a member of the band the Falcones, a well-known Conjunto band in southern Texas in the 1970's and 1980's. The brothers had their first opportunities to perform along with their father, but they soon evolved into their own independent musical act.

Quote from Henry Garza of Los Lonely Boys:

From Los Lonely Boys official site:

"I call it my music burrito theory. What we've done is made like our own tortilla, right, with all the knowledge of all the greats that are out there, I can't even think of 'em all right now, but we put 'em inside the tortilla, fold it up in there, we make our own burrito and we're sellin' it to the world, y'know?"

Release of 'Los Lonely Boys' - The First Album:

Los Lonely Boys recorded their first album - a blend of Tex-Mex rock, blues, soul, country, and Mexican Tejano music - at Willie Nelson's Pedernales studio in Austin, Texas. The album was released by Or Records but soon generated national interest and was re-released by major label Epic in 2004. The album's stew of various forms of American roots music caught the attention of audiences across a wide variety of genres from pop to blues to country.

Pop Success and Awards:

After the re-release of Los Lonely Boys by Epic the album eventually climbed into the top 10 on the albums chart and the single "Heaven" reached the pop top 20 as well as climbing to #1 on the adult contemporary chart. Los Lonely Boys took home a Grammy Award in 2005 for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a duo or group.

Trivia Fact About Los Lonely Boys:

Ringo is the real name of Los Lonely Boys' Ringo Garza, Jr., and, just like the Beatles, he is the group's drummer.

Sacred:

Los Lonely Boys' second studio album Sacred was released July 18, 2006 to critical acclaim nearly as strong as for their first album. It was preceded by the single "Diamonds" which quickly reached the adult contemporary top 40.
