Tuesday afternoon, August 7, 2007, MTV announced the nominations for the 24th annual Video Music Awards. Beyonce and Justin Timberlake carted off the most nominations with 7 each. Rihanna and Kanye West followed with 5 nominations each.
This year's awards ceremony will take place September 9, 2007 at the Casino Palms Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. F Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, and Amy Winehouse have all been confirmed as performers for the event.
The nominees for Video of the Year ranged across a wide spectrum of music. The nominees are:
- Beyonce - Irreplaceable
- Justice - D.A.N.C.E.
- Rihanna featuring Jay-Z - Umbrella
- Justin Timberlake - What Goes Around...Comes Around
- Kanye West - Stronger
- Amy Winehouse - Rehab
