Tuesday morning September 20, 2005 the nominations for the 33rd annual American Music Awards were announced. Mariah Carey led the field of contenders with four nominations while Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent and Green Day each had three. The awards will be presented November 22, 2005 at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium. Cedric the Entertainer will host the event, and it will be televised by ABC.
