X Factor hangs on to the top of the chart for a second week with their charity single. Last year's charity single from X Factor only ruled the chart for one week. Christmas singles are starting to fill up the chart with big jumps for Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," the perennial Pogues' favorite "Fairytale of New York" and a Coldplay debut inside the top 20 with "Christmas Lights." Rihanna opens at #9 this week with vocals on David Guetta's "Who's That Chick?" That gives her the unusual honor of having three songs simultaneously in the top 10 this week as it joins "What's My Name?" and "Only Girl (In the World)."

Take That stay on top for a third week. Last year's X Factor runner-up Olly Murs improves on the performance of winner Joe McElderry by opening at a strong #2. Duffy has a very disappointing #9 opening after ruling the chart with her debut album Rockferry. Similarly, Black Eyed Peas see a very weak #17 opening for The Beginning.
