Adele is at the top for a powerful ninth week with 21. This is the first time an album has stayed that long at #1 in the UK since the Beatles 1 a decade ago. However, an album of new material has not been at the top so long since Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms clear back in 1986, 25 years ago. The Strokes meanwhile earn their fourth consecutive top 3 album with Angles starting at #3. Lead Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger has a strong top 10 opening for her solo debut Killer Love.
