Speaking of the Justin Bieber crowd, his protege Carly Rae Jepsen surges into the top 10 this week with her first big US hit "Call Me Maybe." The pop duo Karmin have their first top 40 hit with "Brokenhearted" climbing nearly 20 notches to #33 this week.

Madonna has a big opening at the top of the chart selling more first week copies than any of her albums since 2000's Music. Lionel Richie opens at #2 with his country covers album Tuskegee. It is his highest chart placing since 1986 when Dancing On the Ceiling hit #1. Meanwhile Adele continues to sell more than 100,000 copies a week of 21 nearly 60 weeks after its debut on the chart.
