In her wake the Black Eyed Peas' "Don't Phunk With My Heart" and Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" each rise 2 notches back to #2 and #3 respectively. Underwood and Bice fall back to #6 and #7.
Among the hottest pop singles are Rihanna's "Pon De Replay" entering the top 10 for the first time at #9 and D.H.T.'s "Listen To Your Heart" rising 4 notches to #12. Jessica Simpson makes a strong debut on the chart at #24 with "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'." Gwen Stefani's 4th single from Love, Angel, Music, Baby, "Cool," is showing strength entering the upper 50 of the pop chart for the first time.
On the pop albums chart country superstar George Strait flexes his sales muscle debuting at the top with Somewhere Down In Texas. It ends 3 weeks of dominance by Coldplay's X&Y album which slips to #3. Atlanta's Ying Yang Twins also make a strong debut at #2 with their album U.S.A. : United State Of Atlanta. Mariah Carey coasts through the 12th week in the top 5 for her album The Emancipation Of Mimi.
On the radio Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" maintains a strong grip on the top. Prime upward climbing hits include D.H.T.'s "Listen To Your Heart," at #12 and Jessica Simpson's "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" rising nearly 10 notches at #35.
