Just one week after Faith Hill did it, rock group Staind debut at #1 on the Billboard album chart with Chapter V. The album has already produced the rock radio hit "Right Here." The Gorillaz' Demon Days climbs back up 2 notches to #8 fueled by the success of the single "Feel Good, Inc."
On the pop singles chart the Pussycat Dolls are again dominant. "Don't Cha" is spending a 4th week at #1. There is little other activity in the top 10 except for Natasha Bedingfield's "These Words," from the album Unwritten, entering the top 10 at #9. Further down the chart Mariah Carey's "Shake It Off" continues its swift ascent, pausing at #15 in its 6th week on the chart.
Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" continues its summer-long dominance of the radio airwaves and the Radio and Records chart. Kelly Clarkson's "Behind These Hazel Eyes" has been camped out at #2 for months as well. Among the chart debuts this week is Kelly Clarkson's next single "Because Of You." Weezer's "Beverly Hills" continues to pick up momentum in radio airplay as it rises to #12 this week.
