Bruce Springsteen Shows He's Still the Boss

Ciara May Be Headed Back To the Top Of the Chart

He hasn't had a Top 40 single in 10 years, but Bruce Springsteen proved this week he is still one of the most popular rock performers around. Just like with his last album, 2002's The Rising, Springsteen topped the album chart the first week out with his new album Devils and Dust. At the top of the singles chart Gwen Stefani held on for a second week with "Hollaback Girl."

Just a short distance further down the album chart, Ludacris protege Bobby Valentino looks like a future superstar with his first, self-titled album landing at #3 in its first week on the chart. Amerie's second album Touch debuts in a very respectable #5 slot.

It looks like Gwen Stefani's days at #1 on the singles chart could be numbered. Ciara and Ludcaris are looking strong at #3 with "Oh" while 50 Cent soars back into the Top 5 looking to take over the top of the singles chart again with his new single "Just a Lil Bit." Dave Matthews Band launched an impressive #19 debut with the song "American Baby" a week ahead of the band's new album Stand Up.
