Hot New Singles

  • #14 Hard-Fi - Cash Machine

Comments

Both the UK and US charts are impacted this week by Apple's big sales of iPods in the Christmas season. All those who received a new digital device as a gift rushed to the Internet to download singles. As a result, Madonna re-entered the top 5 and a bit further down loads of other old singles came rushing back like James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" moving from 42-16, the Sugababes' "Push the Button" from 41-19 and Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" from 51-36. The only notable new single is the re-release of Hard-Fi's first single "Cash Machine" which was originally released in limited numbers last January.

It looks like some iPod impact here as well. Robbie Williams Greatest Hits soars back into the top 5 from #68 leaving his current album Intensive Care to languish at #8.
