After climbing to the top last week, the Notorious B.I.G. holds again at the top while Chris Brown nearly repeats his success in the U.S. with "Run It!" opening one spot from the top. It is yet another return to the charts for Dead or Alive's 80's classic "You Spin Me Round." Pete Burns, lead vocalist for the duo, is a participant in the U.K.'s latest round of Big Brother on TV. Both Ashlee Simpson and 50 Cent can only envy Chris Brown as their singles open outside of the top 10.

Comments

It's a quiet week for album sales. Apparently, a few people did in fact forget to buy the Arctic Monkeys album in its first week of release. James Blunt makes yet another return to the top 5 with his long running hit Back to Bedlam. Rod Stewart rolls out a compilation of love songs and easily floats into the top 20.

Best Bets For Next Week's Singles Chart

  • The Source featuring Candi Staton - You Got the Love <Listen>
This dance track was originally a hit back in 1991. Now it has been brought up to date and should glide easily into the upper reaches of the singles chart next week.
  • Meck featuring Leo Sayer - Thunder in My Heart Again
It's another dance track that should do well next week. This time the record is built around a sample from 70's pop star Leo Sayer.
