A number of hit singles by artists who performed at the Brit Awards last week move back up in the charts, but none clear back into the top 5 and certainly none looking to challenge Mika who racks up a 5th week at #1. There is only one new entry in the top 5, and that is the latest hit by Akon, who seems to be everywhere these days. The Red Hot Chili Peppers pull their 4th single from the double album Stadium Arcadium onto the chart with "Desecration Smile" debuting at #27.

Mika resists being dislodged at the top, but Amy Winehouse, winner of the Brit Award for top female vocalist, climbs clear back up to #2. Winning top British single is unlikely to have harmed the sales of Take That's reunion album Beautiful World. It soars back into the top 5.
