Comments

In a 3-way knock down battle for the top, the superstar duet of Beyonce and Shakira comes out on top. The Arctic Monkeys make it 4 top 5 hit singles as "Brianstorm," the first single from their second album, just misses the top, and, even though he fell to #3, Timbaland sells more copies this week of "Give It To Me" than last week when he was at the top of the chart. Look for Ne-Yo to aim for the top in the near future when physical copies of "Because of You" hit record stores.

Comments

In a week in which she is likely to rule on both sides of the Atlantic, Avril Lavigne roars onto the chart at #1. Mark Ronson just misses the top debuting at #2. With strong staying power, Amy Winehouse rises back into the top 5 with her bravura performance on Back to Black.
