Not even a BBC reality series winner can shake Rihanna off the top. With popular Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead hitting the shops with his first single, the bets were on that Rihanna's "Umbrella" would begin to fold up. However, she has held firm now for her 6th week at #1. They weren't originally from Indiana, but Irwin Sparkes and Alfonso Sharland did spend a spell at the University of Indianapolis and took the Hoosier name (from a common nickname for a resident of the state of Indiana) back to London with them when they formed a band.

They failed to reach the top of the pop singles chart last week, but White Stripes do manage to hit #1 on the UK albums chart for the second time. Their first #1 was 2003's big breakthrough album Elephant. Enrique Iglesias is back in the UK top 5 on the album chart for the first time since 2001's Escape hit #1.
