McFly roll into the top spot with their 9th consecutive top 10 hit single. This one is a double A side benefit for Sport Relief and includes a remake of the Queen classic "Don't Stop Me Now." This is the 5th of their singles to make it all the way to #1. It looks like Christina Aguilera will have a strong move into the top 5 next week when "Ain't No Other Man" goes on sale at retail. James Morrison, looking to be this year's James Blunt, makes a strong move into the top 5 this week.

Comments

Despite all of the publicity surrounding her and a 2-week stay at #1 on the pop singles chart, Lily Allen still fails to beat Razorlight to the top spot on the album chart. Razorlight's first album reached #3 and this time they beat that by 2 places. Q Magazine lauded Razorlight as the best guitar album since Oasis' Definitely Maybe.
