There is little movement at the top of the pop singles chart this week. Shakira holds the peak for a second straight week with "Hips Don't Lie" featuring Wyclef Jean, and Christina Aguilera and Rihanna swap positions 2 and 3. A few months after Cascada hit the pop top 10 in the US they achieve the same feat in the UK with a big rise into the top 5. Paris Hilton is doing even better than in the US as her first single "Stars Are Blind" makes a strong showing at #5.

  • #22 DMX - Year of the Dog Again
  • #27 Stone Sour - Come What(Ever) May

Opening concerts for Corinne Bailey Rae just as she turned into one of the hottest new stars of the year turned out to be good preparation for James Morrison and his own starmaking first album. Ray LaMontagne, who is best known in the US for being one of Taylor Hicks' favorite artists, rolls into the UK top 5 this week with his album Trouble. At last, the Pussycat Dolls are not the only burlesque-inspired act on the pop charts. The Puppini Sisters debut inside the top 20 with their own distinct take on cheesecake and pop music.
