Comments

After 4 appearances at #2 as a solo artist and one as a member of NSYNC, Justin Timberlake at last hits #1 with "SexyBack." It looks like it will only be a one week reign as the Scissor Sisters return at #4 based only on downloads for "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" However, in next week's race for #1 with singles out in the shops, it would be naive to count Robbie Williams out. "Rudebox 74" debuts at #30 with downloads only, but there is sure to be a rush to the stores this week to own a copy of the CD single.

Comments

It is no surprise that Kasabian land at the top in their first week with the album Empire surpassing the #4 peak of their first self-titled album. Bob Dylan proves that he still has commercial clout at the age of 65. Modern Times matches the #3 debut of his last studio album, 2001's Love and Theft. Iron Maiden score their 12th top 10 album in the UK with the debut of A Matter of Life and Death 26 years after their first album peaked at #4.
