A new Westlife #1 hit single signals that Christmas must be on its way. The boy band's return to the top is becoming an annual tradition. This time it is with a remake of Bette Midler's "The Rose." Amazingly, this is the first time the song has been a significant pop hit in the UK. Westlife manage to prevent the Green Day - U2 collaboration on "The Saints Are Coming" from hitting the top. Look for a number of new top 10 singles next week as Akon, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Robbie Williams all add physical sales to their download-only releases from this week.

Jamiroquai's hits collection tops the charts this week with new sets from Paul Weller, Moby, and 10CC flooding in as well. Simon Cowell's latest project, the pre-teen classical vocal group Angelis, makes a strong appearance on the chart with their initial self-titled album.
