Madonna holds on to the top spot for a 3rd week. This is her biggest hit in the UK in 15 years. We can now confidently say that the American Life album is all but forgotten. Westlife have now spent longer in the top 3, 5 weeks, with "You Raise Me Up" than any previous single by the group including all of their other dozen #1 hits. Gorillaz now have 3 singles in the UK top 75 since the 2 previous singles, "Dare" and "Feel Good, Inc." refuse to leave.

Madonna holds on to the top of the albums chart for a 2nd week giving her a 2 week grip on both the singles and the albums chart. The only top 5 debut this week belongs to Will Young, the former Pop Idol. Unfortunately for Will, thus far it is the first of his 3 albums to miss the top spot on the chart. Enya's inimitable new age vocal landscapes reappear on the chart with her new album Amarantine at #8.

Best Bets For Next Week's Singles Chart
- Oasis - Let There Be Love
The Gallaghers are looking for a 3rd straight #1 single from the album Don't Believe the Truth. They may be just what's needed to knock Madonna from the peak. - Pussycat Dolls - Stickwitu
"Stickwitu" is already their 2nd top 10 single on the other side of the Atlantic. There is no reason to expect any less in the UK. - Babyshambles - Albion
Pete Doherty's latest band project opened in the top 10 of the albums chart a couple of weeks back. Can he do the same with a pop single?
