Comments

With an exclusive sales agreement with Tesco supermarkets, the Red Cross charity single "What a Wonderful World" stuns the UK music industry in landing at #1. It is the first #1 for Katie Melua and the first time the late Eva Cassidy has landed in the UK top 40. Meanwhile, Christmas songs continue to crowd closer to the top of the chart. Mariah Carey enters the top 5 with the evergreen "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and the Pogues with Kirsty MacColl are back in the top 10 for the 3rd year in a row with the classic "Fairytale of New York."
