Comments

It looks like Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" is headed all the way to the top. It is one of the most easily likeable pop songs to hit the chart in some time. However, he will not have an easy time pushing aside Ne-Yo whose song "So Sick" has struck an emotional chord with many listeners. Meanwhile, further down Matisyahu benefits from the strong release of his album Youth and Bird York is plunged into the spotlight with an Academy Award nominated tune from Academy Award Best Picture Crash.

Comments

Chart history was made this week as Matisyahu's Youth became the highest debuting reggae album of all time on the pop album chart in the US. Meanwhile, James Blunt benefited from an appearance on Oprah and surged to #2 just behind the #1 debut from rapper Juvenile. It was also a good week for some old familiar rock personalities as Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Van Morrison were among the top new albums of the week.

  • #41 Nick Lachey - What's Left of Me

    Comments

Radio really does seem to like Kelly Clarkson. "Walk Away" slides into the top 5 although the song has failed to make the top 10 so far on the overall pop singles chart. All-American Rejects look like they have a hot new single with the title song for their album Move Along opening on the radio chart at #38.
