While holding a second week at the top of the pop singles chart, Justin Timberlake also has the top debut. "My Love" featuring rapper T.I. roars onto the chart at #55. Teen rapper Jibbs is following in the Bow Wow path as his first single "Chain Hang Low" enters the top 20. YouTube exposure does have some chart impact as OK Go's "Here It Goes Again" enters the pop singles chart for the first time following their extensive YouTube exposure and a featured spot performing at the MTV Video Music Awards on treadmills.

Comments

Bob Dylan scores his first #1 album in 30 years. The last time he topped the album chart was with Desire back in 1976. For some perspective, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, and Justin Timberlake were not born yet. It's a very good week for hip hop as Young Dro, Method Man, the Roots, and Too Short all open inside the top 15. Jessica Simpson may be the most disappointed artist of the week. Her album A Public Affair only manages a #5 chart showing and sells considerably fewer copies than former husband Nick Lachey did in the first week of sales for his album What's Left of Me.
