With the song finally available for purchase online, JoJo's "Too Little Too Late" takes a huge leap from #23 to #2 in the process becoming JoJo's first top 10 pop single. Ludacris and Pharrell make a similar leap into the top 5 as well. Among the new singles this week, My Chemical Romance's epic "Welcome to the Black Parade" created a stir when they performed it live at the MTV Video Music Awards. It is now the lead single for one of the fall's most eagerly awaited albums.

Selling almost 700,000 copies of FutureSex/Love Sounds, Justin Timberlake easily takes over the top spot with the second biggest selling week of the year so far. Only Rascal Flatts did better. John Mayer has a strong first week as well opening at #2 on the album chart. Two veterans make very strong returns with Bob Seger and Lionel Richie both entering the top 10 in their first week in stores.

Justin Timberlake is dominant on the radio. "SexyBack" holds at the top spot, while "My Love," the followup single is the fastest rising song on the chart. A few weeks after she topped the overall chart, Fergie finally enters the radio top 5 with "London Bridge." Another song which seems to be trying to catch up with national interest is Danity Kane's lead single "Show Stopper" which enters the chart at #33 this week.
