Comments
Justin Timberlake notches his 10th week out of the past 11 at #1 on the pop singles chart. Fergie is demonstrating why she should be considered one of the breakout pop acts of the year with her second solo single "Fergalicious" climbing into the top 5. With "Smack That," the collaboration with Eminem holding at #2, Akon has the second biggest debut of the week with "I Wanna Love You," a collaboration with Snoop Dogg.

Comments
Barry Manilow's The Greatest Songs of the Sixties sells even more copies in its first week out than the opening week of his album on fifties music. However, it was not quite enough to topple Hannah Montana from #1. Kellie Pickler, the first of this year's American Idol finalists to release an album, scores a strong top 10 opening, and the Who, pared down to the core of Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, return with their first new studio album in over 20 years.

The week after it drops from #1 on the overall pop singles chart, Hinder takes over at pop radio. It marks the rare occurrence these days of one rock band taking over from another at the top in pop radio. Nickelback was holding the top spot last week. Fergie's "Fergalicious" is clearly the song packing airplay heat as she soars 13 notches into the top 20 for the first week.
