The top 5 is exactly the same this week as it was last week. In fact, all of the top 10 singles are the same except 1. D4L manage to slip into the #10 spot with "Laffy Taffy." Amazingly, Mariah Carey is prevented from entering the top 10 and even slipped back a notch to #12 with "Don't Forget About Us." It looks like Eminem is destined to have his 7th top 10 pop hit with "When I'm Gone."

System of a Down score their second #1 hit album this year. The new set Hypnotize is a companion to Mezmerize from this past spring. The post-Thanksgiving Christmas shopping brought the latest Now! collection back to #2 on the chart. Enya, the queen of new age music, returned at #8 and the remaining top 10 debuts belonged to rappers Juelz Santana and Chamillionaire.

Best Bets For Next Week's Album Chart

  • Shakira - Oral Fixation, Vol. 2
    The Spanish-language Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1 debuted on the chart at #4 earlier this year. Will Shakira go even higher this time?
  • Chris Brown - Chris Brown
    This talented teen from Virginia is riding the top of the singles chart this week. He will be battling Shakira to top the album chart next week.

Chris Brown takes the lead on radio this week setting up the possiblity next week of a rare triple crown - simultaneously #1 on pop singles, albums, and radio airplay. All-American Rejects are looking for their first top 10 single with a big move to #12 for "Dirty Little Secret." Fall Out Boy drop out of the top 5 with "Sugar, We're Goin' Down," but "Dance, Dance" is rushing to take its place with an 11 place leap this week.
