Comments

There is little change at the top of the chart in this final week. A bit further down All-American Rejects move into the top 10 with "It Ends Tonight" which improves on the #12 chart performance of the previous single "Move Along." Justin Timberlake is now only 4 notches away from scoring his 3rd top 10 single from the album FutureSex / LoveSounds.

Comments

Nas proves hip hop is not dead by opening on the charts at #1 even if the title of his album says otherwise. Carrie Underwood re-enters the top 5 with heavy Christmas sales well over a year after Some Hearts was first released. In other American Idol album news Chris Daughtry's group Daughtry hangs on for a 5th week in the top 10 and goes platinum while Taylor Hicks drops out of the top 10 in only his 2nd week on the chart.

Hot New Songs

Comments

As each week goes by Chris Daughtry is looking more and more like the hottest American Idol alum on the pop chart since Kelly Clarkson. "It's Not Over" from his self-titled group moves a strong 8 notches up the radio airplay chart this week. At the top, Beyonce looks unmoveable holding the airplay crown by over 1500 spins. That amounts to nearly a 20% lead over her closest competitor.
