These are the hottest 10 pop songs of the week as determined by About Top 40. This chart is compiled consulting data from various music industry charts and sources. It is intended to indicate the hottest rising hits. Recordings that have reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart are disqualified from this chart.

1. Maroon 5 - "Payphone" featuring Wiz Khalifa

Maroon 5 have the biggest opening at pop radio in over a decade with the song "Payphone." It also went straight to #1 in digital sales on iTunes. That should all spell an opening close to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 later this week.

"Eyes Open" is the rare Taylor Swift song that is performing better as a pop hit than a country hit. The song has a strong rock feel. It is a top 20 hit on adult pop and mainstream pop radio but only #50 on the country chart.

"Work Hard, Play Hard" is Wiz Khalifa's first single from the upcoming album O.N.I.F.C.. It is expected in stores August 2012. The song was produced by Benny Blanco and Stargate. Wiz Khalifa had three platinum certified singles from his debut album Rolling Papers.

"Where Have You Been" is a production collaboration between Calvin Harris and Dr. Luke. It is a massive dance pop song. "Where Have You Been" is already a top 30 dance hit in the US and a top 10 dance hit in the UK.

Train's sixth studio album California 37 will debut inside the top 5 on the album chart this week. That makes it the highest charting album of the group's career. "Drive By" is the sixth single by the group to reach the top 2 on the adult pop radio chart. It is a top 10 pop hit for Train in countries across Europe.

8. Jennifer Lopez - "Dance Again" featuring Pitbull

Jennifer Lopez experienced her third highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Dance Again" opening at #27. The song is already a top 25 dance hit in the US. Jennifer Lopez is reportedly planning a world concert tour with Enrique Iglesias.

Pitbull is on two of the hottest songs of the week once again. He is featured above on "Dance Again" by Jennifer Lopez as well as his own single "Back In Time" being a hot hit. "Back In Time" is a top 20 pop hit in Canada.

"Rumour Has It" has become Adele's fourth consecutive song to reach the top 10 on mainstream pop radio. It is a top 5 smash at adult pop radio. The album 21 is nearing nine million in sales in the US alone.
