Taylor Swift's new single is on its way to being one of the biggest selling debut weeks ever expected to sell in the range of 600,000 copies in its first week. It will be included on the new album Red which is expected to hit stores October 22, 2012.
2. Maroon 5 - "One More Night"
Film director Peter Berg put together Maroon 5's music video for the single "One More Night." It includes actress Minka Kelly portraying the love interest of the group's singer Adam Levine. He is a boxer in the clip and as it unfolds she decides to leave him.
3. Nicki Minaj - "Pound the Alarm"
The music video for Nicki Minaj's "Pound the Alarm" was filmed in her native Trinidad. It was filmed on location in Port of Spain, the capital city of Trinidad and Tobago. The clip includes other artists from Trinidad and carnival characters such as Dame Lorraine, Blue Devil, and Jab Jab.
4. Mumford and Sons - "I Will Wait"
Despite very little pop radio airplay, Mumford and Sons' singles "Little Lion Man" and "The Cave" have both been certified platinum for sales. They both reached the top 3 in alternative radio airplay. The group's first album Sigh No More has sold more than two million copies in the US alone.
5. Justin Bieber - "As Long As You Love Me" featuring Big Sean
Justin Bieber worked with veteran R&B producer Rodney Jerkins in putting together "As Long As You Love Me." To help make the record sound contemporary it includes touches of dubstep. It is the second official single from the album Believe.
6. Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen - "Good Time"
Owl City's new album The Midsummer Station lands in stores this week. It includes collaborations with outside contributors Stargate and Matt Thiessen of Relient K. Owl City's last two studio albums both reached the top 10 on the album chart.
7. Neon Trees - "Everybody Talks"
More than eight months after its initial release, Neon Trees' "Everybody Talks" continues to climb pop charts and even seems to be picking up momentum in pop radio airplay. The song has been certified platinum for sales and reached the top 5 on the adult pop radio chart.
8. Alex Clare - "Too Close"
Alex Clare first performed under the pseudonym Alexander G. Muertos. However he went back to his given name in 2010. Since the success of "Too Close," Alex Clare's album The Lateness Of the Hour has reached the top 20 on the UK album chart and climbed inside the top 50 in the US.
9. Cher Lloyd - "Want U Back"
19 year old Cher Lloyd has both a strong fan base and a significant group of detractors at home in the UK. Despite the polarization, her debut album Sticks + Stones reached the top 5 on the album chart and her debut single "Swagger Jagger" was a #1 smash hit. She followed it with another top 5 single "With Ur Love."
10. Karmin - "Hello"
Karmin is the duo formed by the engaged couple Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan. They met while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Some of their earliest national exposure came from appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
