4. Chris Brown - "Don't Wake Me Up"
Chris Brown's latest hit has received critical acclaim for its dance-pop production. The credits for the song list 12 songwriters including dance music masters Benny Benassi and William Orbit among them. "Don't Wake Me Up" is nearing the top 10 on the dance chart.
5. Alex Clare - "Too Close"

The duo Karmin have emerged from seeming a bit of a hip hop novelty cover act when they first appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show to being one of the big pop breakthrough acts of 2012. Their previous single "Brokenhearted" reached the top 20 on the pop singles chart and topped the dance chart. "Hello" is already a top 20 dance hit.
10. Nicki Minaj - "Pound the Alarm"
Critics have complained that Nicki Minaj's "Pound the Alarm" sounds too similar to her earlier 2012 hit single "Starships." However, those similarities haven't slowed the current hit on the charts. "Pound the Alarm" has already reached the top 10 in the UK and is nearing the top 10 on the US dance chart.
