These are the hottest 10 pop songs of the week as determined by About Top 40. This chart is compiled consulting data from various music industry charts and sources. It is intended to indicate the hottest rising hits. Recordings that have reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart are disqualified from this chart.

1. Pink - "Try"

"Try" is Pink's 19th top 40 pop hit single in the US. All of her studio albums except for 2003's Try This have produced two or more top 40 hits. Her current album The Truth About Love became Pink's first to reach #1 on the album chart and has been certified gold for sales.

will.i.am and Britney Spears are receiving additional exposure for "Scream and Shout" with its use in TV commercials for Beats By Dre headphones. Last week the music video for the song debuted on X Factor. "Scream and Shout" should make a big splash on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

"Don't Stop the Party" is the third single from Pitbull's current album Global Warming. It was co-written and co-produced by DJ / producer TJR. The song has climbed charts quickly. It is a top 5 hit on the rap songs chart as well as hitting the top 30 on the dance chart. In Canada "Don't Stop the Party" is a top 10 pop singles chart hit.

Alicia Keys' album Girl On Fire will debut this week at #1 on the album chart. That means that four of her five studio albums have topped the albums chart as well as her live collection. The song "Girl On Fire" is also scorching charts around the world. It has reached the top 10 in at least 10 different countries around the world and is a top 5 smash in the UK.

Justin Bieber performed "Beauty and a Beat" this week on the telecast of the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The song has made an appearance on the dance chart and is a top 20 pop hit across the Atlantic in the UK. "Beauty and a Beat" is a top 10 hit in Justin Bieber's native Canada.
