It is intended to indicate the hottest rising hits. Recordings that have reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart are disqualified from this chart.

fun's latest single is an uptempo anthem to perseverance. It also features rock star guitar playing from the group's Jack Antonoff. "Carry On" has climbed into the top 10 on both the alternative and rock songs charts. It is the third hit single from the album Some Nights.

2. Justin Timberlake - "Mirrors"

"Mirrors" is a truly epic pop confection from Justin Timberlake. It clocks in at over eight minutes in length. The song is the second release from his upcoming third solo studio album The 20/20 Experience. The first single "Suit and Tie" is a top 10 pop hit.


3. Pitbull - "Feel This Moment" featuring Christina Aguilera

Pitbull's latest single has two appealing anchors. The first is the soaring guest vocal from Christina Aguilera. The second is generous sampling from A-Ha's #1 hit single from the 1980s "Take On Me." "Feel This Moment" is already a top 10 hit on both the dance and rap songs charts.


4. Demi Lovato - "Heart Attack"

Demi Lovato released her new single a week early to dampen any effects from unauthorized leaks of "Heart Attack." The song looks like an instant hit topping the iTunes digital sales chart. It is an uptempo song that shows off Demi Lovato's vocal chops. It is the first single from her upcoming fourth studio album.


5. Fall Out Boy - "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)"

It looks like Fall Out Boy have figured out how to counteract the fade in commercial success that was plaguing the band when they announced their hiatus in 2009. "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark" is already a top 10 hit on the rock songs chart and reached the top 5 on the pop singles chart in the UK.

6. Mumford and Sons - "I Will Wait"

Mumford and Sons have started talking about working on their third studio album, and they are threatening to move away from the folk rock that has brought them worldwide commercial success. "I Will Wait" is a multi-format hit on the radio having topped both the alternative and rock songs charts while reaching the top 10 at adult pop.

Nelly's album sales have dipped significantly from his early 2000s commercial peak. However, he continues to consistently generate pop hit singles. "Just a Dream," the lead single from his most recent album 5.0 was a top 3 triple platinum smash hit.


8. Krewella - "Alive"

Krewella are a Chicago based electronic dance music group. Their single "Alive" is taking off at mainstream pop radio. A debut album from the group is expected to hit stores this summer.

9. Olly Murs - "Troublemaker" featuring Flo Rida

Olly Murs' genial, family friendly approach to pop music is starting to resonate with US audiences. "Troublemaker" has broken into the top 20 at mainstream pop radio and is beginning to gain traction at adult pop as well. The US version of Olly Murs' album Right Place, Right Time hits stores April 16, 2013.

10. Icona Pop - "I Love It" featuring Charli XCX

"I Love It" first appeared nearly a year ago and has taken a slow route into the mainstream US pop charts. However, the surging dance track was an instant top 10 pop hit at home in Sweden. The song has also reached the top 10 on pop charts in a variety of countries around the world including Australia and Germany.
