These are the hottest 10 pop songs of the week as determined by About Top 40. This chart is compiled consulting data from various music industry charts and sources. It is intended to indicate the hottest rising hits. Recordings that have reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart are disqualified from this chart.

1. Bruno Mars - "When I Was Your Man"

Bruno Mars' second album Unorthodox Jukebox edged one place higher on the album chart at #2 than the #3 peak of his debut Doo-Wops and Hooligans. The albums have produced four top 10 pop hit singles, three of which have gone all the way to #1. "When I Was Your Man" is already certified gold in Australia.

2. Maroon 5 - "Daylight"

All four of Maroon 5's studio albums have reached the top 10 on the album chart. Each of them is also certified platinum for sales. They group currently has a streak of three top 10 pop hit singles, all of which have received multi-platinum sales certifications. "Daylight" is aiming to be the fourth top 10 in a row.

When Fall Out Boy went on hiatus in November of 2009, many fans thought the band's days were over. However, this week the group reappeared with a stellar new single. "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark (Light Em Up)" instantly landed near the top of digital sales charts.

4. Calvin Harris - "Sweet Nothing" featuring Florence Welch

Scottish dance music artist sand producer Calvin Harris had his first UK chart breakthrough with the top 10 hit debut single "Acceptable In the 80s." It was one of two top 10 hits from his debut album I Created Disco. Four years later he created a splash on the US charts as featured artist on Rihanna's massive #1 hit "We Found Love." He has been a pop chart fixture in the US since.

5. One Direction - "Kiss You"

"Kiss You" is the second single in the US from One Direction's album Take Me Home. It was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden in May of 2012. The song is a return to uptempo singles for the boy band after the ballad "Little Things."

6. Rihanna - "Stay" featuring Mikky Ekko

Featured artist Mikky Ekko is a singer-songwriter who grew up in Louisiana. His collaboration with Rihanna has become his first nationally charting recording. "Stay" has already become a pop hit in many countries around the world. It has reached #4 on the UK pop singles chart.

7. Nelly - "Hey Porsche"

Nelly emerged as a pop and hip hop superstar in 2000 with the breakthrough single and album "Country Grammar." The song landed in the top 10 of the pop singles chart and the album went all the way to #1 ultimately selling more than eight million copies. Nelly has since reached the pop top 10 nine more times as lead artist.

8. Lady Antebellum - "Downtown"

Country and pop superstars Lady Antebellum have turned in a more upbeat direction for their first single from their upcoming fourth studio album. "Downtown" is already a top 20 hit at country radio. The group's last two non-holiday albums both hit #1 on the album chart. Two previous singles have crossed over from the country chart to the top 10 on the pop singles chart.

Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men have become international superstars with the single "Little Talks" originally released in 2011. It has been certified platinum for sales in the US while landing in the top 10 at adult pop, rock, and alternative radio. It is now starting to climb the adult contemporary chart. "Little Talks" has reached the pop top 10 in both Australia and New Zealand.

10. Pitbull - "Feel This Moment" featuring Christina Aguilera

Pitbull's latest party hit samples A-Ha's #1 hit single "Take On Me" from 1985. It also features his first recorded collaboration with Christina Aguilera. The song is already a top 10 hit on the dance songs chart in the US.
