2. Gym Class Heroes - "Ass Back Home" featuring Neon Hitch
Gym Class Heroes are looking like a pop act with some staying power. "Ass Back Home" is surging strongly up pop charts. It is helped by strong featured vocals from rising British singer-songwriter Neon Hitch. She is a protege of producer Benny Blanco.
3. Jessie J - "Domino"
Jessie J just may have her first Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit on her hands with "Domino." It is already in the top 10 at mainstream pop radio. "Domino" is currently enjoying its second week at #1 at home in the UK. Jessie J says her primary influence for "Domino" was Whitney Houston's classic "I Wanna Dance With Somebody."
4. Pitbull - "International Love" featuring Chris Brown
"International Love" has been a bit of a sleeper hit for Pitbull in the US. It was first released as a promotional single from Planet Pit back in May, 2011. In November 2011 it became an official single release and has slowly climbed the charts from them. "International Love" has now surpassed the chart performance of the previous single "Rain Over Me" and continues to climb.
5. Hot Chelle Rae - "I Like It Like That" featuring New Boyz
Hot Chelle Rae are proving they are no one-hit wonder. "I Like It Like That" is a hit at both mainstream and adult pop radio. This is the first hit for hip hop duo New Boyz as a featured artist. It is their fifth top 40 pop hit overall.
6. The Wanted - "Glad You Came"
"Glad You Came" is beginning to explode in the US. It looks like The Wanted just may be the next big boy band on this side of the Atlantic. "Glad You Came" is already in the top 40 at pop radio and has just surged inside the top 50 on iTunes' digital singles sales chart. A US tour will raise the group's profile even higher.
7. Gavin DeGraw - "Not Over You"
"Not Over You" is turning into one of Gavin DeGraw's biggest pop hits of his career. It has topped the adult pop radio chart and is nearing the top 10 at mainstream pop radio. Significant credit must be given to producer Ryan Tedder for helping pump up the muscular sound of the song.
8. Train - "Drive By"
Train are back with another upbeat pop-rock tune. "Drive By" is the first single from an upcoming album expected out in the spring of 2012. "Drive By" is already a top 30 adult pop radio hit and is being quickly added at mainstream pop radio. The band are looking for their third top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 to join "Hey, Soul Sister" and "Drops Of Jupiter."
9. Outasight - "Tonight Is the Night"
Outasight is the stage name for singer and rapper Richard Andrew. He grew up in Yonkers, New York and began his music career playing small clubs in New York City. The use of "Tonight Is the Night" as music for a Pepsi commercial campaign provided a big boost to his performing fortunes. A debut full-length album is expected later this year.
10. LMFAO - "Sorry For Party Rocking"
LMFAO's RedFoo was previously a stock market day trader before the duo's recording success. They have now become one of the world's most successful party music acts. "Sorry For Party Rocking" looks to continue the success of two consecutive #1 pop hits.
