It is intended to indicate the hottest rising hits. Recordings that have reached the top 10 of the Billboard Pop 100 chart are disqualified from this chart.

1. All-American Rejects - Move Along

Although Fall Out Boy are headlining, All-American Rejects can lay claim to being the hottest band on the Black Clouds and Underdogs concert tour. "Move Along" is aiming to be the band's next top 10 pop single.

2. Matisyahu - King Without a Crown

Hasidic Jewish reggae star Matisyahu is the most surprising pop success story of the year so far. His album Youth is the highest debuting reggae album ever on the U.S. pop albums chart. In addition, the opening week sales were the biggest sales week of any reggae album in the U.S. in the past 15 years.

3. Bubba Sparxxx - Ms. New Booty

Although it is quickly rising up the charts, the marketing of "Ms. New Booty" has drawn controversy. A website promoting the single and encouraging fans to send in photos of their backside prompted complaints from a group called IndustryEars saying "Ms. New Booty" was "another conduit to sex, pornography and misogyny aimed at children."

4. Nick Lachey - What's Left of Me

Nick Lachey seems to be moving on from his much-publicized split with Jessica Simpson. In addition to his current hit song climbing the charts, he will be the star of a TV series pilot for the new CW television network. Lachey will play a bachelor living in Manhattan in the show titled He Said / She Said.

5. Mariah Carey featuring Snoop Dogg - Say Somethin'

The newest single from Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi, the biggest selling album of 2005, is off to a hot start. It is not even due for official promotion to radio until April 3rd.

6. Pussycat Dolls featuring will.i.am - Beep

Reportedly, the Pussycat Dolls are interested in making a reality television series their next entertainment venture. Apparently, representatives of the group have drawn the attention of the new CW network with the idea.
