Late in the following decade her career seemed to sink, as she became mired in a tabloid lifestyle. Her marriage fell apart and she lost custody of her children. Most in the music industry believed her glory days were over. However, Britney Spears staged one of the most brilliant pop music comebacks of all time in 2007 and 2008 ultimately resulting in two consecutive #1 hit singles "Womanizer" and "Circus."
