At the 2006 World Music Awards in London, Michael Jackson was presented with a Diamond Award for his career achievements. However, when he performed poorly, he was booed by the crowd, many of whom had paid premium prices to see Jackson perform. However, no one considered booing Chris Brown's electrifying performance of "Thriller" from earlier in the evening.
