Lollapalooza was created as a touring musical festival in 1991 and continued each year through 1997. It was revived in 2003 once again as a touring festival, and then in 2005 located to a permanent home as a 3-day destination festival in Chicago, Illinois. The 2009 festival attracted in the range of 75,000 per day. These are some of the top performers among over 130 acts who participated.
