In June, 2007, Rihanna told the Reuters News Service, "I just wanted to get a little edgy and cut my hair and I didn't really ask anybody to do it." She felt she was at a rebellious time in her life. The resulting cut is short and blunt, significantly different from her earlier, longer hair.
