Rihanna released "Unfaithful," one of her edgiest pop singles, as the second song from the album A Girl Like Me. She portrayed herself as a cheating lover whose indiscretions amounted to "murdering" her partner. The single reached #2 on the US pop singles chart.
The "Unfaithful" single, released in July, 2006, was a collaboration with songwriter Ne-Yo and production duo Stargate.
